Nicolas Cage Arrested For Domestic Abuse

 Actor Nicolas Cage has been arrested in New Orleans for both domestic abuse and disturbing the peace. According to police reports, the Academy Award winner argued with his wife in front of a house whom the actor claimed was their rental property.

 The police stated that Cage grabbed his wife by her upper arm and dragged her towards the house. The actor followed his erratic behaviour by striking cars and attempted to jump into a taxi.

 A police officer who was the scene ordered a heavily intoxicated Cage out of the taxi to which he replied: "Why don´t you just arrest me?"

 Apparently, Cage´s wife does not want to present charges against him.

Christina Aguilera's Mug Shot: Not Her Best Look

Does Christina Aguilera look publicly intoxicated to you?

The spiraling pop diva was arrested on suspicion of that very charge early yesterday morning, and here is the photographic evidence of the bust, exclusively obtained by E! News.

L.A. Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said that Aguilera's picture is not going to be released to the public because authorities do not plan to press charges...but sometimes a camera is just in the right place at the right time.

While this certainly won't go down in the annals of scary mug-shot history, it's definitely not one of Aguilera's better looks.

In her defense, Whitmore said earlier today that the "Beautiful" singer was "cooperative" and "not belligerent in any way whatsoever" when she was taken into custody along with boyfriend Matthew Rutler.

Christina Aguilera's "Drinking Is Out of Control"

Christina Aguilera's pals probably saw this one coming.

The songstress, 30, was busted for public drunkenness in the wee hours of Tuesday morning in West Hollywood; she was the passenger in a car driven by her beau Matthew Rutler, who was arrested for driving under the influence.

"When she got out of the car, she couldn't stand. We had to help her stand," L.A. County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Steve Whitmore tells Us Magazine. "She didn't know where she was and she didn't know her own address. We took her into custody for her own protection."

After passing a sobriety test, Aguilera was released from custody around 7:30 a.m. Although she was slapped with a misdemeanor charge, the star will not be prosecuted, Whitmore explained. (The case against Rutler, who released on bail, is ongoing.)

"It was an arrest for her own safety...It is a public welfare issue. She was incapacitated and not able to take care of herself."

"Her drinking is out of control," an Aguilera confidante recently told Us Weekly. "She's a total mess." The Burlesque star -- who famously flubbed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl Feb. 6 and nearly fell off the stage at the Grammys one week later -- has been unraveling in the wake of her split from husband Jordan Bratman and a series of career disappointments.

Among Aguilera's alcohol-fueled antics:

A boozy international press tour for Burlesque in December. "Every city they went to -- London, Tokyo -- Christina was pretty drunk, and Matt had to carry her home," a Rutler source says.

The inebriated singer and her mom, Shelly Kearns, got into a heated fight in her $11.5 million home on New Year's Eve. "Christina was so wasted before her guests arrived that her mother told her to lie down and sober up," another insider says. "Christina then yelled 'Who do you think you are?' It was crazy!"

After crashing actor Jeremy Renner's star-studded birthday bash at his Beverly Hills pad on Jan. 8, she got "wasted" and climbed into his bed -- enraging Renner, who griped about the incident to pals at the Golden Globes.

At L.A. club The Dime on Jan. 25, Aguilera was downing vodka sodas and "crying uncontrollably" about tensions with ex Bratman, 33, a witness says.

Christina Aguilera & Matthew Rutler -- Arrested

Christina Aguilera was arrested early this morning along with her boyfriend in West Hollywood, TMZ has learned. Christina was popped for public intoxication and her boyfriend was arrested for driving under the influence.

Aguilera was arrested at 2:45 AM and booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's station on a misdemeanor charge.

On the booking report, Aguilera was listed at 5'2" and 100 pounds.

Aguilera's 25-year-old boyfriend Matthew Rutler was also arrested last night at the same time for a misdemeanor offense.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Rutler's bail was set at $30,000.

Law enforcement sources tell us Aguilera appeared to be "extremely intoxicated" and was "unable to take care of herself."

However, the source adds, "If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble."

Sources close to Xtina tell us they have been trying to get the singer into a rehab program for weeks.

Teen Mom's Amber Portwood Is In Jail

TMZ has obtained the mug shot of "Teen Mom" Amber Portwood -- taken moments after she was arrested in Indiana for allegedly beating the crap out of her baby daddy ... in front of their daughter.

According to Amber's booking sheet -- the 20-year-old measured in at 5'3", 138 lbs.

Amber was charged with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.

As we previously reported, Amber allegedly attacked Gary Shirley three separate times between August 2009 and July 2010. Some of the violence was captured on video.

We're told Amber faces three years behind bars and up to $10,000 in fines if convicted on all charges.
