Desperate Housewives Gets Renewed For Season 8

According to TVLine, Desperate Housewives will be back on ABC next year as the four leading ladies have agreed to continue with the show after months of negotiations.

The new deal not only renews the show for an eighth season but leaves the door open for an optional ninth.

The piece of news has not been made public by the network yet although it may be possible that it won´t be confirmed until the May upfronts.

According to reports, Teri Hatcher once again negotiated her deal separately from her co-stars and Vanessa Williams, who joined the show early this season, is also slated to return next year.

No word yet on Marc Cherry´s involvement with the show, although it is probable that if his ABC pilot (Halleluyah) gets picked up, he would pass over the torch to Bob Daily who is the current executive producer.

Are you happy that Desperate Housewives is back for another year? Sound off in the comments!

Desperate Housewives Could End In 2013

Marc Cherry, creator of ABC´s hit show Desperate Housewives, has confirmed that the show stars are currently in talks to sign up for two more seasons.

Cherry confirmed the news to TV Guide: "The actresses are still in hot and heavy negotiations, so as of this moment everyone is hopeful and optimistic that we'll be returning for an eighth season, but until the women have signed on there is no guarantee."

Originally, the stars of the series were signed to appear until the end of this year. With Marc Cherry´s own contract ending in 2013, it would only make sense to continue the show for two more years.

"I think that's what everyone would be happy with," he said. "I think nine years would be a really good run. I've specifically asked [ABC] to please get the deal done as quickly as possible so I can know. I would hate to have to wrap up Desperate Housewives in an untidy fashion just because they weren't able to make a deal. But everyone's pretty optimistic a deal will be made."

Would you watch two more seasons of Desperate Housewives? Let me know in the comments!

Eva Longoria erased his tattoo of Tony Parker

There are brands that are for life. And the tattoos, happily, is no longer a problem thanks to the laser. What should be grateful, surely, the actress from "Desperate Housewives" Eva Longoria .

I've never done a tattoo because I do not bear the pain. In addition, knowing that I will have a brand for life makes me so difficult to accept. Should be very sure what I want to tattoo to do, I do not want to come a time, and they end up boring or leaving of like why I have written or drawn on the skin. I know that the laser fixes everything, but besides being very expensive, not very effective, as it is a small frame.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker thought their marriage would last for life, like his tattoos commemorate the date of your wedding. However, both are now extinct, at least for her, as can be deduced from this picture taken last weekend at the party Jeremy Renner, as the tattoo on his wrist that no longer appears.

I wonder if Tony will also have done the same. Maybe, as now both are friends, went together to the clinic to erase the tattoos and even got some kind of discount 2 for 1. That is a bargain.

Nicollette Sheridan drops lawsuit against ABC

According to Gossip Cop, Nicollette Sheridan has dropped the lawsuit against both ABC and Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. The actress, whose character Edie Britt was written off the show in 2009, claimed that she got fired after complaining about an incident in which Cherry allegedly hit her back in 2008.

Sheridan allegedly decided to end her $20m lawsuit after both ABC and Cherry agreed not to insist she undergo both a physical and psychological evaluation.

However, this does not mean everything is good and well between the two of them, as Sheridan still insists there was wrongful termination and gender discrimination on the part of ABC.

Wow! This looks more dramatic that an actual episode of the show! Who do you believe?

Is Teri Hatcher leaving 'Desperate Housewives'?

According to reports, series veteran Teri Hatcher is preparing to leave the hit show Desperate Housewives at the end of next season, as she already has new projects lined up for her. According to a source from The Mail on Sunday, the actress who plays Susan Mayer is developing a sitcom that she wants to start working on just as soon as she wraps up on the ABC series.

Hatcher isn't the only star of the show that allegedly wants out, as Felicity Huffman is rumoured to be considering leaving the show too, something that will put the series in danger of cancellation. A spokesperson for ABC said: "We are working on the next season at the moment and we haven't got anything to say about the one after." Back in July, creator Marc Cherry expressed his intention of making season nine its last, stating that he hoped to keep its core cast intact until the end of the show.

I really hope that they keep the original cast together or end the show before someone leaves, since the dinamic of the four main characters is what keeps it alive.

What do you think? Will you watch Desperate Housewives without one or two of its main lead characters?

UPDATE: Teri Hatcher has denied these claims via her Facebook page:

"There are not enough adjectives to describe how stupid, off base, and ridiculously untrue this is. 'Newspapers' should be accountable for this kind of irresponsible journalism and reckless fabrication of a story. What disturbs me the most is that one fan would consider for one second that I would "quit" what has been one of the highlights of my career for which I am grateful on a daily basis. I have never said nor inferred otherwise.

They made no effort to contact me or my representatives or the network to fact check. I am awaiting a retraction and apology at the least for mucking up everyone's Sunday with this huge, hurtful lie.I will say it again, I love Desperate Housewives, the cast and crew are like family and I am with it till it's cancelled. Vanessa Williams and the writers have brought a new energy to the show this year and I expect and hope it can continue on for a long time."
