Even though I was already late for work one morning this week, I couldn't leave the house without quickly perusing one of my favorite websites...2 Bitchez Deep. I know, I know...amazing site. I'm addicted. While quickly scanning the page I saw something that made me slam on the brakes. Nail art. Not just any nail art...FIERCE nail art. Omg... These nails are bad bitch nails. The kind of nails that don't just catch your eye, they DEMAND your attention. I quickly did some research on the artist. Her name is Dominique Renee and she is just as fierce as her creations. Mz.Dominique is talented, gorgeously glam and cooler than the other side of pillow. I know this because I reached out to her and she graciously replied. We corresponded via her twitter and I was delightfully surprised to learn a few things: 1) Like I said she's as cool as the creative claws she designs 2) She's blogger friendly and 3) She lived in my hometown for a period of time. She has agreed to an interview that I will be conducting this weekend but tonight I wanted to at least show you her designs and get you acquainted with her...

I spotted this Dashing Diva 3-D Caviar manicure on Refinery 29 and have decided I have to have to have it... No glitter, but fly all the same.



How To Get It/What you'll need:
1. Apply 2 coats of Dashing Diva's Limo Service Polish
2. Apply nail glue all over the nail
3. Dip nails into black seed beads
4. Sprinkle with black glitter
5. Apply and activator spray to adhere

"Gold Rush" (yes, that's what they named it) comes in a bottle that features a cap hand-crafted from yellow gold and has a total of 1,118 diamonds inlaid. The color of said polish? Wait for it... Gold. Shocking. Apparently it glistens, sparkles, glimmers...and all that jazz. *Rolls eyes* You detect a bit of smart ass oozing through this post? So perceptive... Look, I'm a diamond loving Glamour Whore but if I'm spending $130,000 of my or someone else's hard earned money for a bottle of nail polish it's not going to be some tacky frosty gold color, it's going to be a custom shade with lifetime refills named after moi. The 2010 Nailympics (Yes. It's a real event) were held this weekend in London as part of The Olympia Beauty Show and I just had to share... because if I had to look at it...so do you.

I like the idea of such an event but some people got super carried away. There are Buicks that aren't as big as some of these nail decorations...

Earlier today I noticed some of my favorite beauty bloggers were tweeting about the white nail polish trend... Although it didn't seem like a shade I would like for myself I decided to research it to see if it was something I would recommend for my clients and readers... And for the most part the answer was...NO.

However, I did come across a bottle of the aforementioned polish that I will be ordering...simply for the name itself. BLEACHBLACK, the geniuses behind a favorite polish of mine deliciously titled "Dickweed" has done it again...their contribution to the white nail polish trend is called...wait for it...JIZZ. Yeah, I said JIZZ. I have to have it, simply for the name alone. Yes, I am that juvenile...but whatever...I'm also fucking fabulous so it all evens out. Besides, even though I do not like the look of white polish on finger nails I do think it would make a fabulous shade for a summer pedicure. Available via Need Supply Co.
