“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” -Unknown

Lately Stila cosmetics is a force to be reckoned with. Ever since the Stila/Estee Lauder "divorce" the maker of my beloved "Kitten" and "Brown Sugar" lip glaze has been consistently blowing my mind. The "Barbie All Doll'd Up" palette has definitely earned a spot on my "must have" list and the "Gift Of Appreciation" set is filled with amazing products for the ridiculously amazing price of $38. I am enjoying this divorce, as Stila is showering it's customers with better than ever products.

What I came across today however...A-MA-ZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't remember the last time I shrieked that loud because of a great find. I made noises only dogs and other glamour/beauty addicts could hear. I'm surprised somebody didn't call an ambulance. What caused my excitement? Are you ready? Really ready? Ok...

A MAKEUP CASE THAT PLAYS MUSIC!!!!! Yup.... Stila has produced a makeup kit/case that has a media player docking station. On November 1st Stila will launch the "Stila Makeup Player" a 3-in-1 train case, vanity and media player docking station. It's the best thing...EVER!!

The case comes with 4 fab products that can are sold in sets according to skintone:

*The One Step Makeup Foundation <~SO AMAZING. A primer,foundation, concealer and powder in 1 product!
*Color Convertible For Lips and Cheeks
*Eyeshadow Trio
*Lip Glaze

Also included:

* #7 eyeshadow brush
* A beauty tube DVD
* An instructional card.

Basically, you can sit in front of the mirrored train case and apply your products as the dvd instructs or just rock out to music while applying your look du jour. Another great feature is you may go to StilaBeautyTube, iTunes, or Youtube to download makeup lessons onto your device. Ready for the best part?! The price for all of this is only $69!!!!! Stila has just won a place in my heart forever... I can't wait to purchase my Makeup Player so me and my clients can shake our asses while creating the glamour that I love so much... Stila's

"I`d like to believe that the women who wear my clothes are not dressing for other people, that they`re wearing what they like and what suits them. It`s not a status thing." -Marc Jacobs

It's Fashion Week Spring 2010 in NYC and the energy is crazy!!!! There is absolutely nothing like Fashion Week in NYC. Well....maybe Fashion Week in Paris...nope, scratch that, I stand by my original statement: THERE IS NOTHING LIKE FASHION WEEK IN NYC!!!!

Now, I definitely have a deep passion for fashion but everyone knows my 1st true love is makeup. Francois Nars is tied with MAC for my favorite brand of all time. Imagine if MAC and Nars teamed up to create a line?! Omg...what a cute baby that would be!! Ok, I'm getting delirious...

Back to business... Francois Nars and Marc Jacobs were gracious enough to share the looks that will be seen on the runway for Marc Jacobs Runway Spring 2010. And it's FABULOUS!!!! This might be my favorite among the looks/trends I have seen during this exciting week. Francois himself describes it as "ballerina, cabaret girl, Broadway show meets opera meets Martha Graham with a touch of gothic." Delicious.

The Nars/Jacobs team has released a video showcasing the look and how it is achieved. My fellow makeup whores and fashionistas are bound to enjoy this...

~In The Wing Of An Eye~

“The soul that can speak through the eyes, can also kiss with a gaze” -Gustav Adolfo Becquer

As a makeup artist/beauty blogger, the questions I get asked most frequently involve eye liner application. Applying eye liner correctly can be tricky. The trickiest look of all is the "winged eye". It took me years to perfect it. Well...years and a fabulous "how-to" video I came across awhile back. Before I came across this priceless video tutorial I was able to apply a winged eye on my clients and myself but it took some time and was super frustrating. This tutorial makes it so simple anyone can do it. I was going to keep it my little secret but since one of the purposes of this blog is share my beauty knowledge I have decided to share it with all of my readers. You're Welcome;)

You will only need two items for the perfect winged eye look:

Surgical Tape. Any brand will do and you can find it at any drugstore (Walgreens, CVS, Harmon, Rite Aid, etc).

Eyeliner. You can use whatever brand you prefer and chose the form that works best for you such as liquid, cream or pencil. My favorite is
Chantecaille's Le Stylo $26
