MAC's newest collection "Riveting" hits stores February 18th 2010. By now you know that I have a "wait and see...show and prove" attitude towards MAC. Their collections over the past couple years have been disappointing too many times. However I must admit lately they have been back on their game...let's hope it continues.



Especially with this collection as I am excited about the liquid liner/eyelashes and a few of the lipcolors, especially Snow Orchid and Riveting. Ok, truth be told I'm also feenin to get a up close personal look at the nail polishes and the "Full Fuchsia" blush...guess I'm still a slight junkie for that MAC crack. P.S I love the styling of the promo pic...I want everything she has on...does anyone know whodunnit?

I was on the mark. cosmetics website today... Actually, rewind. Let me start by explaining a weird quirk about me. I usually HATE "catalog" makeup, like Avon, MaryKay, etc... I'm a makeup snob like that. It's weird I wasn't always like that... When I was a teenager and in my early twenties I loved ALL makeup. I don't know what changed but I have an intense dislike for such mentioned brands.. HOWEVER, there a foundation made by mark. that I feel to be the BEST. Seriously. The BEST. So good in fact that up until now I have never ever mentioned it to anyone. Not a single soul. Not even my clients. Shameless. A friend of mine gave it to me because she thought I would like it. I accepted it graciously, brought it home, put it in the case and forgot about it. I tried it out a few weeks later just to see...and... LOVE!!! Pure love... So...I was on the mark. site today ordering my foundation and saw a few things I found adorable...

Pretty Wild Color & Shine Lip Gloss ($7):
The last thing me or my kit needs is more lipgloss but I am a sucker for cute/pretty packaging. And the graphic had a pink heart on it...with my favorite Holiday right around the corner...sucker. And the cute leopard print helped....sucker. And it looks really really glossy, with tube in a tube packaging housing two glosses (1 clear) for added shine...sucker. So I caved...sucker. Ordered a tube of Candy Fix...sucker.



Pretty Wild Color Palette ($14):
More leopard. More hearts. More pink. More glosses. More shadows. Sucker, sucker, sucker... It really is adorable though...AND if I'll most likely give it to one of my teen-age makeup happy cousins...maybe.
